Geoffrey R. Clive, D.D.S.
Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics
Dr. Geoffrey Clive grew up in Beaverton, OR and Wenatchee, WA. As a northwest native, he sorted cherries during the summer. He spent two years in Argentina on an ecclesiastical mission and learned Spanish. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University in 2011. He decided to attend dental school and earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland-Baltimore in 2015. After dental school, he practiced as a general dentist in the Baltimore suburbs for two years. He completed specialty training in endodontics at University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2019. While in training, he obtained experience in root canals, retreatments (redo root canals), root surgery, and other endodontic treatments. He participated in novel research and served as chief resident during his second year. After completing residency, he joined Dr. Boyd’s practice in Milwaukie, OR. He bought the practice in 2021.
Dr. Clive decided to specialize in endodontics when treating an undercover police officer with a very painful infection. His patient thought he’d need an extraction and was happy to hear that a root canal was possible. After the root canal, the patient was delighted to be pain-free and to keep his tooth. Dr. Clive enjoys helping his patients to heal from dental infections and enjoys furthering his knowledge and techniques to provide expert, evidence-based treatment. He understands how going to a dentist can be nerve-wracking and does his best to make patients comfortable and treating them with respect. He is certified in using nitrous oxide sedation.
Dr. Clive is married and is a father. He is currently serving as President of the Clackamas County Dental Society following previous years of service as Secretary-Treasurer and Vice President. He enjoys taking his family on hikes, traveling to visit family, and seeing new places. He likes racquetball, disc golf, eclipse chasing, and making craft chocolate.
Ashish Bhandari, D.M.D.
Dr. Ashish Bhandari earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from McKendree University. He earned his doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Then, he continued his postdoctoral training at Southern Illinois University beginning with a one year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) followed by his certificate of specialty in Endodontics. During his AEGD residency, he primarily focused on complex full mouth rehabilitation cases. Then, during endodontic residency, he obtained experience in root canal therapy, root canal retreatments, root end surgery and all avenues of endodontics directed towards preserving healthy natural teeth that are functional. He is also involved in novel research studying the association of endodontic disease and maxillary sinus disease.
Dr. Bhandari’s passion for endodontics is rooted in his own personal experience. As a teenager, his upper molar was extracted due to a cavity that induced a severe toothache. Since he was unable to receive care from an endodontist, he decided to become one! He now helps others save their teeth every day.
Outside of the office, he and his wife enjoy traveling, trying new cuisines, hiking, biking, and spending time with their two rescue dogs, Momo and Curry.
